Junior Classical League/

Latin Club

JCL, Junior Classical League, is a national organization that focuses on Latin and Greek subjects. JCL's mission is  "to encourage an interest in and an appreciation of the language, literature and culture of ancient Greece and Rome and to impart an understanding of the debt of our own culture to that of classical antiquity."

Our chapter, here at NCCA, is lead by students that are excited about learning Latin and love to explore the past. The chapter officers strive to make our chapter a fun and incredibly friendly and welcoming place. Ms. Greer is the chapter adviser and has been involved with JCL since her time in high school. She says that she loves this organization and encourages people who aren’t in her Latin classes, or maybe aren’t the best at learning Latin, to join this club.

Some of the events that JCL has to offer are the State and National Conventions, the Fall Rally, and many events here at our own school. These events hosts tons of amazing and friendly people who are all excited about the same thing. There are competitions, fun games, and lots of laughs.
